Women's Tennis clinches No. 2 seed in OAC Tournament with 5-4 victory over Otterbein

ADA -- Sophomore Lynn Kelly rallied from 4-1 down to win at No. 1 singles to lead Ohio Northern to a 5-4 women's tennis victory over Otterbein Friday afternoon at University Courts.
The Polar Bears improve to 17-3 overall, are 6-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference and clinch the No. 2 seed in next week's OAC Tournament.
The Cardinals (15-3, 5-2) will be the No. 3 seed in the OAC Tournament.
Kelly won her first set 6-2 at No. 1 singles, but fell behind 4-1 in the second set before winning five straight games to win her contest and clinch the match for Ohio Northern, giving the hosts a 5-2 lead.
Ohio Northern got off to a good start by winning the No. 1 and 2 doubles courts.
Senior Taryn Stromback and Kelly won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles and senior Meghan Letizia and junior Brittany Toney won 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, Stromback won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Letizia won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to give ONU a 4-2 lead.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their regular season on Saturday with a 1 pm home match against Capital at the Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center in Lima.
