Women's Tennis completes 4-0 weekend with 9-0 sweep of Indiana-East at OAC Tennis Fest

MASON -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team completed a 4-0 record on the weekend with a 9-0 sweep of NAIA foe Indiana-East Saturday morning at the Lindner Family Tennis Center as part of the 2016 OAC Tennis Fest.
The Polar Bears improve to 16-2, while the Red Wolves fall to 6-13.
Senior Taryn Stromback led ONU with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles and an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles with sophomore Lynn Kelly.
Senior Meghan Letizia and junior Brittany Toney won 6-1, 6-0 at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, and combined to win 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Sophomore Morgan McGlothlin won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, senior Elise Smith won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and sophomore Kirsten Adamson won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
Smith and McGlothlin won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
ONU also defeated Berea (Ky.) 9-0 on Friday and topped Marietta (8-1) and Muskingum (9-0) on Saturday as part of the OAC Tennis Fest.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday with a key Ohio Athletic Conference battle at Baldwin Wallace.
