Women's Tennis posts 8-1 victory over Berea (Ky.) at the Lindner Family Tennis Center

MASON — Junior Christina Corbean and freshman Lynn Kelly posted 6-0, 6-0 singles wins to lead Ohio Northern to an 8-1 non-conference women's tennis victory over Berea (Ky.) Friday afternoon at the Lindner Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 12-3 on the season, while the Mountaineers fall to 1-5.
Kelly won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Corbean won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
Senior Michelle Tuma won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, freshman Morgan Schaeffer won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 4 singles and freshman Morgan McGlothlin won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles for ONU.
Northern started the match by sweeping the doubles courts.
Corbean and sophomore Brittany Toney won 8-1 at No. 1, junior Taryn Stromback and Kelly won 8-0 at No. 2 and Schaeffer and McGlothlin won 8-3 at No. 3.
The Polar Bears will play three matches on Saturday at the Lindner Center as part of the OAC Tennis Festival.
ONU will face Baldwin Wallace at 8 am, Marietta at 11 am and Muskingum at 2 pm.
