Women's Tennis blanks Marietta 5-0 in OAC Tournament Quarterfinals

ADA -- Sophomores Christina Corbean and Rachael Miller each posted a pair of victories to lead Ohio Northern to a 5-0 victory over Marietta in the Quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament Tuesday afternoon at University Courts.
The second-seeded Polar Bears (16-4) advance to the semifinals Friday afternoon at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason.
The Pioneers end their season at 6-14.
Corbean (6-0, 6-1) and Miller (6-0, 6-0) won at Nos. 1 and 5 singles to finish the match.
Northern swept the three doubles matches to open up a 3-0 lead.
Corbean and sophomore Brooke Taylor combined to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles and Miller and sophomore Taryn Stromback won 8-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Junior Kristin Cellentani and sophomore Meghan Letizia won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles to complete the sweep.
ONU will face third-seeded Mount Union in the OAC Tournament semifinals Friday at 1 pm.
