Women's Tennis extends OAC regular season win streak to 29 matches with 5-4 victory over Mount Union

LIMA -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team won its 29th consecutive OAC regular season match by a 5-4 score over Mount Union on Saturday afternoon at Westwood Tennis and Fitness Club.
The Polar Bears improve to 9-2 on the season and 2-0 in OAC play, while the Purple Raiders suffer their first loss and fall to 6-1, 0-1.
Northern opened the match winning two of the three doubles courts.
Junior Kristin Cellentani and sophomore Meghan Letizia improved to a perfect 9-0 on the season with a 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
Sophomore Rachael Miller and sophomore Taryn Stromback won 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles action, Letizia won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Miller won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
Cellentani clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Tuesday, when it hosts Ohio Wesleyan at 4:30 pm. The Polar Bears will also host USTA Campus Kids Day during the match.
