Women's Tennis opens spring trip with 9-0 sweep of Bethel (Tenn.)

TAMPA (Fla.) -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team opened its spring trip with a 9-0 win over NAIA foe Bethel (Tenn.) on Sunday in Florida.
The Polar Bears push their record to 3-1 on the season, while Bethel drops to 0-4.
ONU won all three doubles courts, dropping just three games.
At No. 1 doubles, sophomores Rachael Miller and Taryn Stromback won 8-1.
Sophomore Christina Corbean and freshman Brittany Toney scored a 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles.
In singles action, Corbean won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and junior Kristin Cellentani won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Sophomore Meghan Letizia won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and Miller was victorious at No. 4 singles by a 6-1, 6-2 score.
The Polar Bears won No. 3 doubles, No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles by forfeit.
Ohio Northern has a quick turnaround and will return to action on Monday against St. Benedict (Minn.) at 8 am.
