WESTERVILLE -- Freshman Meghan Letizia won two matches to lead the Ohio Northern women's tennis team to a 6-3 victory in a key early season OAC match over Otterbein on Thursday afternoon at the Richard A. Sanders Tennis Center.
The win moves the Polar Bears to 14-4 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in the OAC. The Cardinals fall to 9-4, 1-1.
Letizia teamed with junior Carly Olmstead to post a 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
She also scored a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles for Northern.
Also picking up a win for the Polar Bears was sophomore Brittany Miller, who scored a 7-5, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Saturday, when it plays a double header against Hope (Mich.) and Albion (Mich.) at 10 am and 2 pm, respectively.
