Women's Tennis falls to Oberlin 7-2 in battle of regionally ranked teams

LIMA -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Oberlin in a battle of regionally ranked opponents on Friday afternoon at Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center.
The loss drops the Polar Bears to 9-3 on the season, while the Yeowomen improve to 6-4.
Oberlin took two of the three doubles courts to open the match.
The doubles tandem of freshman Meghan Letizia and junior Carly Olmstead erased an early 4-1 deficit to win 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.
Freshman Taryn Stromback won at No. 6 singles by a 7-5, 6-0 score.
Letiza dropped a tight 7-5, 6-4 match at No. 4 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Saturday when they host Wittenberg at 9 am and open OAC play against Wilmington at 1 pm. Both matches will be played at Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center in Lima, Ohio.
