Women's Tennis to open 2012-13 schedule Sept. 6 with home double header

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will open the 2012-13 schedule Sept. 6 with a home double header under 12th-year head coach Scott Wills.
The Polar Bears will host St. Francis (Ind.) at 2 pm and area-rival Defiance at 5:30 pm at the University Courts.
Northern will also play a double header at Bluffton with Rose-Hulman (Ind.) on Sept. 8, will travel to the Oberlin Invitational Sept. 14-16 and will play in the ITA Regionals at St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 28-Oct. 1 to complete its Fall schedule.
The Winter schedule gets underway With a pair of double headers at Kalamazoo (Mich.) with NCAA Division I foe Valparaiso on Feb. 2 and a double header at Case Western Reserve with St. Mary's (Ind.) on Feb. 9.
The Polar Bears' annual spring break trip will be to Southern California, with road matches at Occidental (Calif.), Cal Tech, Biola (Calif.) and Whittier (Calif.) March 3-5.
Northern will begin the defense of its Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title with a home match against John Carroll on March 23.
The OAC Tournament is slated for April 30-May 4.
ONU went 23-5, won the OAC Regular Season and Tournament titles and advanced to the second round of the NCAA III Tournament in 2011-12.
