Women's Tennis to face Transylvania in Atlanta in NCAA Tournament opening round

ADA - The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will face Transylvania (Ky.) in Atlanta in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships.
The Polar Bears will face the Pioneers in the Emory (Ga.) Regional on Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. The winner of the first round will move on to face Washington & Lee (Va.) in the second round on Saturday.
This is the second time in program history that the Polar Bears made the NCAA tournament, as their last appearance was in 2009 against Geneseo State (N.Y.).
Northern (22-4) earned the Ohio Athletic Conference's automatic bid to nationals this past weekend, with a 5-2 win over John Carroll in the conference tournament finals.
Its appearance in the OAC Tournament finals was also the women's tennis program's second straight. The Polar Bears also won the Regular Season title for the second consecutive season and is currently on a 15-match winning streak.
