Women's Tennis rolls to 6-0 in the OAC following win over the Yellow Jackets

ADA - The Polar Bear women's tennis team kept its winning streak going after an 8-1 win over Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Baldwin-Wallace on Saturday at University Courts.
ONU extends its winning streak to nine matches while also moving to 16-4 overall and 6-0 in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets fall to 8-12 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
The day started with Northern taking 2-of-3 doubles courts. Freshmen Brittany Miller and Kristen Cellentani won No. 2 doubles, 8-2, over Jenny Greene and Danielle Rueger.
Sophomores Carly Olmstead and Lauren Rife teamed up at No. 3 doubles for an 8-1 win over Whitney Yoder and Emily Brown.
The Polar Bears closed out the day by sweeping singles courts. Sophomore Michelle Tuma won No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-2.
Sophomore Kelsi Wurm won No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-0 and junior Christie Gales also won at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
Northern hosts both Capital and Trine (Ind.) on Wednesday. The contest versus the Crusaders is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. followed by the 5:30 match against the Thunder.
