Women's Tennis runs win streak to 6, stays unbeaten in OAC with 7-2 victory over Otterbein

ADA -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team won its sixth consecutive match and stayed unbeaten in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 7-2 victory over Otterbein Wednesday afternoon at the University Courts.
The Polar Bears improve to 13-4 overall and are 3-0 in the OAC, while the Cardinals fall to 5-8, 2-1.
Northern swept the three doubles victories to take a quick 3-0 lead.
Sophomores Carly Olmstead and Michelle Tuma posted an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles to complete the sweep.
Sophomores Kelsi Wurm and Lauren Rife won the first match of the day 8-1 at No. 3 doubles and freshmen Brittany Miller and Kristin Cellentani won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles to make it a 2-0 lead.
Olmstead had the biggest singles win, rallying for a 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 3 by winning 11 of the final 12 games after trailing 6-3, 5-2.
Cellentani won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4 singles, Wurm won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and senior Kristin Timperman won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Wednesday at Heidelberg.
