Kelsi Wurm goes undefeated as Women's Tennis opens season at Oberlin Invitational

OBERLIN — Freshman Kelsi Wurm went a perfect 6-0 to lead the Ohio Northern women's tennis team at the Oberlin Invitational Friday-Sunday.
The 2010-11 season opening tournament was a non-scoring event.
Wurm went 3-0 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles action to lead the Polar Bears.
She coupled with sophomore Christie Gales to go 3-0 in doubles play.
Freshman Allison Talbert also went undefeated in the tournament, posting a 3-0 singles mark and a 1-0 doubles record.
Freshmen Emily Mueller and Lauren Rife also combined to go 3-0 in doubles action.
Muller was 2-1 in singles to finish the tournament with a 5-1 record.
In all, ONU went 9-2 in doubles and was an even 14-14 in singles play.
The Polar Bears will return to action Wednesday with a 2 pm contest at Saint Francis (Ind.) and a 7 pm contest against Manchester (Ind.)
