Saturday's Meet: The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team will continue its 2022-23 season Saturday at OAC foe John Carroll at the Johnson Natatorium ... Last season, ONU defeated JCU 156-137 in the regular season only to have JCU down ONU 950-744 for the top spot at the OAC Championships ... Ohio Northern opened its 2022-23 campaign last Friday with an 185-73 victory over Wilmington at the ONU Sports Center ... The Polar Bears won 12 of 14 events en route to the win, with sophomore Mara Brown and freshman Grace Smith leading the way with three victories each ... Brown won the 50-yard back in :30.18 and the 100 IM in 1:04.98 and joined senior Abby Schauer and sophomores Morgan Fernandez and Annie Richters in winning the 200 medley relay in 2:02.29 ... Smith won the 50 free in :25.81 and the 100 free in :57.72 and joined Richters, sophomore Sydney Selinsky and senior Gabbie Grant in winning the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:47.48 ... Schauer, Grant and freshman Meghan Mattison joined Richters with two victories on the night ... JCU is opening its season on Saturday.
