Women's Swimming & Diving finishes sixth of 11 teams on third and final day of Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER — Junior Lauren Halle (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) touched third of 23 swimmers in the 100 fly to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team on the third and final day of the Wooster Invitational on Saturday at the Wooster High School Natatorium and the College of Wooster Natatorium.
The Polar Bears finished sixth out of 11 teams with 677 points in the 20 events.
Case Western Reserve won the team title with 2163 points, Wooster was second with 1219.5 points and Gannon (Pa.) was third with 1110 points.
Halle was third of 23 swimmers in the 200 fly in 2:15.26.
Sophomore Marissa Taylor (Granite Falls, N.C./South Caldwell) was fifth of 35 swimmers in the event in 18:25.92.
Senior Kierra Watson (Brownsburg, Ind.) was fourth of 27 swimmers in the 200 back in 2:10.13.
Freshman Megan Lubinski (Milford/Brighton) finished eighth of 61 in the 100 free in :54.14.
The Polar Bears will take the rest of December off and will resume action with a competition in early January as part of their Winter Training trip to Arizona.
