Lauren Halle wins the 400 I.M., leads Women's Swimming & Diving on Day 2 of Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER — Junior Lauren Halle (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) won the 400 I.M. to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team on the second day of the Wooster Invitational on Friday at the Wooster High School Natatorium.
The Polar Bears are in sixth place out of 11 teams with 467 points after 13 of the 20 events.
Case Western Reserve leads the team standings with 1418 points, Gannon (Pa.) is second with 835 points and Wooster is third with 745.5 points.
Halle won the 400 I.M. in 4:42.76 and sophomore Marissa Taylor (Granite Falls, N.C./South Caldwell) was fifth of 31 swimmers in the event in 4:48.31.
Senior Kierra Watson (Brownsburg, Ind.) was fifth of 35 swimmers in the 100 fly in :59.91.
The 200 medley relay team of Watson, junior Katey Stuart (Ada), junior Kyley Stuart (Ada) and freshman Megan Lubinski (Milford/Brighton) finished eighth in 1:51.48 to start the evening.
The meet will finish with the final seven events on Saturday.
Prelims on both days will begin at 10 am at Wooster High School with diving starting at 2 pm at the College of Wooster.
Finals on Saturday will start at 5 pm at Wooster High School.
