Women's Swimming & Diving wraps up regular season with tri-meet at Case

CLEVELAND — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its regular season with a tri-meet at Case Western Reserve with Hillsdale (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon at Veale Natatorium.
The Polar Bears (4-6 overall) fell to Case 243-54 and were topped by Division II Hillsdale 201-83.
Sophomore Kierra Watson (Brownsburg, Ind.) led Ohio Northern with a third place finish in the 100 back in 1:04.13 and a fourth plkace finish in the 1000 free in 11:47.68.
Freshman Libby Sartschev (Parma/Normandy) posted third place finishes in the 1-meter diving (152.00 points) and the 3-meter diving (138.10 points).
Freshman Lauren Halle (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) was third in the 200 fly in 2:17.62.
Junior Jailee Sautter (Mansfield/Lexington) was fourth in the 200 back in 2:17.34.
The Polar Bears will now take time off to prepare for the 2017 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships meet Feb. 16-18 at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
