ADA — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team fell to Oberlin College 130-100 Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.

In the 1-meter diving, freshman Libby Sartschev (Parma/Normandy) finished second with 159.40 points, while freshman Samantha Nelson (Washington Court House/Washington) finished third with 139.80 points.
Sartschev also finished second in the 3-meter diving with 142.45 points.

Stuart also posted a top-3 finish for the Polar Bears as she finished third in the 100 fly in 1:06.01.
Veon and Wheeler finished second and third in the 50 free in :26.11 and :26.17, respectively.
The duo also finished first and second in the 100 breast as Veon took first place in 1:11.13 and Wheeler finished second in 1:14.52.
Junior Hailee Sautter (Mansfield/Lexington) finished third in the 200 free in in 2:09.05, the 100 free in :59.60, and the 500 free in 5:54.94.
Northern would conclude the meet with a second place finish in the 200 free relay as the team of junior Maggie Dempster (Akron/Firestone), senior Brianna Tingley (Dexter, Mich./Dexter), sophomore MacKenzie Kaschalk (Terrace Park/Mariemont), and freshman Katelyn Koebel (Port Clinton/Port Clinton) teamed up to finish second in 2:01.38.
"Our women's team was matched closer in numbers but we just didn't have what was needed," said head coach Peggy Ewald. "We have a few holes and we are working to figure out how to cover those. In a short event line up distinct areas that need depth become glaring. Oberlin had a good meet, we just fell short on a few events that we couldn't recover from."
Northern will return to the pool Dec. 1-3 as they compete in the three day Wooster Invitational.
