Jill Chapman sweeps free sprints, leads Women's Swimming & Diving in tri-meet with #25 Case Western Reserve and Hillsdale (Mich.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team fell in a tri-meet on Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears (4-6 overall) lost to No. 25-ranked Case Western Reserve 187-113 and fell to NCAA Division II foe Hillsdale (Mich.) 169-125.
Hillsdale and case tied 144-144.
Junior Jill Chapman swept the free spring races to lead Ohio Northern, winning the 50 free in :24.87 and the 100 free in :55.09.
Senior Allison Lohnes also had a solid day, finishing second in the 100 back in 1:00.61 and in the 100 fly in 1:02.51.
Five other Polar Bears had third place finishes, led by freshman Emily Jones, who was third in the 1-meter diving with 145.05 points and in the 3-meter diving with 150.90 points.
Sophomore Hailee Sautter was third in the 1000 free in 11:38.69 and sophomore Sydney Veon was third in the 100 breast in 1:11.13.
Freshman Lauren Chaney was third in the 200 free in 2:02.87 and freshman Kierra Watson was third in the 200 back in 2:18.07.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their regular season next Saturday when they entertain Manchester (Ind.) at 1 pm on Senior Day at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
