Swimming & Diving teams to hold annual Swim for CF fundraiser on Saturday during tri match with Case Western Reserve, Hillsdale (Mich.)
By Tim Glon
The Ohio Northern Swimming and Diving Teams are holding their annual "Swim for Cystic Fibrosis" Fundraiser Saturday afternoon during their 1 pm home tri-meet against Case western Reserve and Hillsdale (Mich.) at the ONU Sports Center.
Cystic Fibrosis is a rare disease that affects approximately 30,000 children and adults in the U.S alone. The money raised at the event will be donated to the CF Foundation.
The CF Foundation relies on donations to help find a cure for this life threatening disease.
This is a community service project by the ONU swimming and diving teams to raise money for the foundation and to involve the campus community in our efforts to support Cystic Fibrosis.
All students, faculty and community members are invited to come support the Polar Bears in a highly competitive swim meet.
Special event 200-yard relay races will be held during the first diving break of the meet. If you wish to donate and put up a 4 x 50 relay, email assistant coach Helaina Sacco at h-sacco@onu.edu.
One hundred percent of the money donated will go directly to the CF Foundation.
Please support the ONU Swimming and Diving Team and their effort to support The CF Foundation to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
