SHENANDOAH, Tex. — Sophomore Jill Chapman and junior Lindsey Inkrott kicked off their NCAA Championships competition on Wednesday by competing in the 50 Free event at the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships at the Conroe Natatorium.
Chapman finished 35th out of 46 swimmers in :23.99, while Inkrott was 46th in :25.24.

"Obviously a disappointment, but a good learning experience for both women," ONU head coach Peggy Ewald said. "The 50 free is a crap shoot. With so many swimmers so close together in times the margin of error is so small. Jill's :23.99 was still a very good swim. Lindsey's top event is yet to come. This was a good learning experience for both of them. We need to put today behind us get get ready for Friday."
Th top eight finishers in the prelims of each event earn All-America honors and advance to the Final in the evening session each day, while finishers 9-16 advance to the Consolation Final and earn Honorable Mention All-America honors.
On Friday, both women will swim the 100 back. On Saturday, Chapman will swim the 100 free and Inkrott will swim the 200 back.
