Women's Swimming celebrates Senior Day by winning the Golden Kickboard trophy with 156-72 victory over BW

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team celebrated Senior Day by winning the Golden Kickboard trophy for the ninth consecutive season wth a 156-72 victory over Baldwin Wallace Saturday at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-6 overall and are 3-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet action, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 5-5, 1-2.
ONU has now won nine straight and is 9-2 in the Golden Kickboard series with Baldwin Wallace, which began in 2005.
The Polar Bears won 10 of the 13 events to post the victory.
Senior Ashley Zoeller and junior Allison Lohnes paced ONU by winning two events each.
Zoeller won the 200 free in 2:03.99 and the 500 free in 5:38.64 and Lohnes won the 200 I.M. in 2:16.27 and the 100 back in 1:01.32.
Sophomore Jill Chapman won the 50 free in :24.69, sophomore Stephanie Brookens won the 100 free in :55.30, freshman Sydney Veon won the 100 breast in 1:11.55 and freshman Danielle Pete won the 1-meter diving with 100.70 points.
ONU swept the two relays, winning the 400 medley relay in 4:13.66 and the 400 free relay in 3:54.08.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their regular season with a dual meet at Case Western Reserve on Jan. 24.
