Women's Swimming & Diving team is gunning for its sixth consecutive OAC Championships title

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team is gunning for its sixth consecutive league title, and is ready for the 2014 OAC Championships Thu.-Sat. at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
The Polar Bears have won five consecutive OAC Championship titles and just clinched their eighth straight OAC Regular Season crown this year under 10th-year head coach Peggy Ewald.
ONU has six returning All-Conference swimmers that are expected to compete at the championships, led by senior Lindsey Rayhill.
Rayhill is a 13-time OAC Champion and a 14-time All-Conference performer.
She is the 3-time defending champion in both the 100 and 200 fly events and won last year's 200 I.M. crown.
Senior Jennifer Hartsel was on ONU's winning 200 and 400 medley relay teams last season and is also an All-Conference honoree in the 100 and 200 breast events.
Senior Jamie Garbash is a 2-time OAC Champion as part of the medley relay teams.
Junior Taylor McCabe won the 400 I.M. crown in 2012 and is a 5-time All-OAC honoree in the I.M. and breast events.
Sophomore Lindsey Inkrott is the defending champ in the 100 and 200 back and won 5 OAC titles as a freshman a year ago.
Sophomore Allison Lohnes was on ONU's champion 200 free relay team and was All-Conference in the 200 back last year.
Freshmen Jill Chapman, Sydney Liber, Brianna Tingley and Emily Uhrin are all listed first or second in their respective events among OAC competitors during the regular season.
