Lindsey Rayhill sweeps bufferfly events to lead Women's Swimming & Diving at Calvin (Mich.) Invitational

Grand Rapids, Mich. -- Senior Lindsey Rayhill swept the butterfly events to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team at the Calvin (Mich.) Invitational Friday and Saturday.
The Polar Bears finished third of four teams with 893.5 points. Host Calvin (Mich.) won the meet with 1059.5 points, Albion (Mich.) was third with 929 points and Hope (Mich.) was fourth with 142 points.
Rayhill won the 100 fly in 1:01.27 and won the 200 fly in 2:13.59. Senior Jamie Garbash finished third in the 100 fly in 1:03.51.
Allison Lohnes and Jill Chapman each added a pair if second place finishes for ONU.
Lohnes placed second in the 100 back in 1:01.30 and was second in the 200 back in 2:11.74, while Chapman was second in the 50 free in :25.45 and was second in the 100 free in :55.49.
Lohnes and Rayhill also finished 4-5 in the 200 I.M. Lohnes was fourth in 2:19.05 and Rayhill was fifth in 2:29.59.
Freshman Brianna Tingley finished third in the 400 I.M. In 5:09.45 and was third in the 1650 free in 19:29.65.
In the 200 breast, freshman Molly Wheeler was third in 2:40.84 and senior Jenifer Hartsell was fourth in 2:43.15.
The Polar Bears will be on the road twice next weekend, swimin at Oberlin on Friday and at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday.
