Sophomore Meagan Grierson nominated for Hero Sports Div. III Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year

ADA — Sophomore goalkeeper Meagan Grierson (Miamisburg) has been nominated for the Hero Sports Div. III Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year for the 2017 campaign.
Grierson led the Polar Bears (20-2-2 overall) defensively as they advanced to the Elite 8 round of the NCAA Div. III Women's Soccer Tournament for the first time in school history.
The sophomore set a school record this season with 14 shutouts in goal and is currently tied for fourth all-time at ONU with 20 career shutouts.
Grierson ranked in the top-15 nationally in goals against average and owns the freshman and sophomore goals against average records at Ohio Northern.
Head coach Mark Batman was also nominated as the Hero Sports Div. III Women's Soccer Coach of the Year after guiding the Polar Bears to their best finish in school history and fourth NCAA III Tournament appearance.

The Polar Bears wrapped up their season in the Elite 8 round of the NCAA III Tournament as they dropped a 1-0 decision to N0. 5-ranked Hardin-Simmons (Tex.).
