ADA — Ohio Northern assistant coach Katie Robinson was named the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Wittenberg on Friday.
Robinson was at ONU for three seasons (2014-16).
She is the second Ohio Northern assistant coach to accept a head coaching position, as Jenny Vincent has been the head coach at Defiance since 2014.
Former ONU player Kim McGowan is currently the head coach at Olivet (Mich.)
"I'm so excited for Katie," ONU head coach Mark Batman said. "This is a great professional step in her career. I am extremely sad to see her go, but happy at the same time. Wittenberg isn't just gaining a great coach, they are gaining a great mentor to young women and a great personality to their athletics staff.
"I'm very proud of Katie for accepting this opportunity. She has helped us, and me, in so many ways. It was mixed emotions as she addressed the team; our girls are all sad to see her go but we are all extremely confident she will be a great leader for that program."
