Women's Soccer picked to win Ohio Athletic Conference title

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team was picked to finish first in the Ohio Athletic Conference in 2016 in the OAC preseason coaches poll.

Northern finished 12-7-2 overall and 7-2-0 in the OAC a year ago under 13th-year head coach Mark Batman. 

The Polar Bears finished with 51 points and six first place votes, while Capital finished second with 46 points and three first place votes, and Otterbein finished third with 42 points.

Only the top six vote-getters were mentioned in the poll.

Northern will open its 2016 campaign Sept. 1 at 5pm as it travels to Kenyon, before returning home Sept. 3 for a three-game home stint at Kerscher Stadium.
