ADA - The Ohio Northern women's soccer team fell to No. 13 Denison Wednesday evening 4-1 at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 3-2-1 on the season while the Big Red improves to 6-0-0 on the year.
Northern's lone goal came in the 75th minute as sophomore Hannah Reich capitalized on a free kick from junior Shelby Stephens to pull the Polar Bears within 3-1.
Denison attacked early and found the back of the net in the 15th minute off a corner kick to make the score 1-0.
Ohio Northern came close to answering as junior Michaela Gutierrez took a header off the corner kick and just narrowly missed off the crossbar.
Denison would strike again in the 25th minute off a free kick from 25 yards out to make the score 2-0.
Denison added a third insurance goal in the 48th minute off a corner kick to push the score to 3-0.
Denison would add one more goal in the 81st minute to push the score to 4-1.
The Polar Bears would outshoot Denison on corner kicks 7-6.
Senior Emily Brodict fell to 3-2-1 on the season. The Polar Bear keeper recorded four saves on the afternoon.
Ohio Northern will be back in action Friday as they travel to Case Western Reserve for a 7:30 pm kickoff.
