MARIETTA — Freshman Anna Niemeyer scored two goals to lead the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory at Marietta on rainy and chilly Saturday morning.
The Polar Bears end their regular season with a 10-6-2 overall record and are 6-2-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Pioneers end their season 1-15-3, 1-6-2.
Niemeyer got ONU on the board in the 19th minute with her team-leading eighth goal of the season.
She made it 2-0 just after halftime with a penalty kick in the 48th minute.
Sophomore Alaura Mikesell gave Ohio Northern a 3-0 lead with a goal in the 62nd minute.
ONU out-shot Marietta 22-1, including a 15-0 advantage on shots on goal.
The Polar Bears will be the No. 2 seed on next week's OAC Tournament, will receive a first round bye and will host a semifinal match on Thursday at Kerscher Stadium at a time yet to be announced.
