ADA - Ohio Northern tied Baldwin Wallace 1-1 in double overtime on a chilly Wednesday evening in women's soccer action at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears move to 9-6-2 overall, 5-2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference play while Baldwin Wallace moves to 9-7-3, 5-1-2.
ONU had a strong first half out-shooting Baldwin Wallace 12-5.
Ohio Northern had a chance to take the early lead in the 8th minute as sophomore Haley Napier took a shot from outside the 18 that hit the cross bar.
Sophomore Rachel Weigman also pressured for the Polar Bears in the first half as she played a ball off the left post just out of the reach of goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge.
The Polar Bears would find a goal early in the second half as sophomore Shelby Stephens was able to capitalize in the 48th minute beating the defense, and giving ONU the early 1-0 lead.
Baldwin Wallace would find an equalizer though in the 71st minute as Alex Elliott was able to place a header off a corner kick from Courtney Schutz to tie the game at 1-1.
Ohio Northern out shot Baldwin Wallace in the match 19-11, and edged them on corner kicks 6-2.
Junior goalkeeper Emily Brodict who recorded seven saves in the game, and senior Kristina Klusek who fired off eight shots led the Polar Bears.
ONU wraps up regular season play Saturday as they travel to Marietta for a 11 am game with the Pioneers.
