TIFFIN--The Ohio Northern women's soccer team got two second half goals from sophomore Kristina Klusek to defeat Heidelberg by a 2-0 score Wednesday night at Mayer Field.
ONU now improves to 8-4-3 overall and 3-3 in the OAC, while the Student Princes fall to 2-11-1, 1-5.
After playing a scoreless first half, Klusek headed in a cross at the 68:25 mark.
Freshman Alex Hazelet and junior Lauren Brown picked up the assists on the play.
Klusek would then score her second goal of the night just over six minutes later when she beat the goalie.
Klusek now has eight goals on the season which is tops on the team and is tied for second in the OAC.
Senior goalie Erin Waehner moved to 8-4-3, by making two saves for her seventh shutout of the season.
Heidelberg goalie Julie Cross made four saves and falls to 2-11-1.
Northern outshot the Student Princes by a 17-2 margin, including 11-0 in the second half.
Ohio Northern will be in action again on Saturday as they face off against John Carroll on Senior Day at 1 pm.
