The Polar Bears are now 2-1-0 on the season while the Violets improve to 3-0-0.
The Polar Bears got on the board in the fifth minute when freshman Kristina Klusek took a pass from sophomore Abbie Schauble to beat the goalkeeper. It was Klusek's third goal of the season.
NYU tied the game in the 33rd minute when Erin Ahmed scored on a free kick. Heading into the break, the game was tied at 1-1.
The Violets took the lead in the 76th minute when Catherine McLoughlin scored on a rebound.

NYU would then add a goal in the 88th minute to put the game away.
The Polar Bears outshot the Violets 14 to 12, while both teams had eight shots on goal.
Junior goalie Erin Waehner made five saves on the day, but suffered her first loss of the season.
