Wrestling celebrates Senior Night with 39-12 victory over Muskingum

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team celebrated Senior Night with a 39-12 victory over Muskingum on Tuesday evening at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 6-6 overall and are 1-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies fall to 0-7, 0-2.
ONU honored its three seniors, Clayton Davidson (Kirtland), Dylan Dolph (Canton/South) and Austin Windle (Ada) in a pre-match ceremony.
After an exchange of forfeits at 125 and 133, ONU freshman Brandon Bartlome (Coshocton/River View) posted a pin at 1:32 of the first period to give the Polar Bears a 12-6 lead. Bartlome picked up his third victory and second fall of the season
Junior Jeff Andrews (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) won by decision at 149 to extend the Polar Bear lead to 15-6. Andrews improves to a team-best 23-5 on the season.
Davidson posted a first period fall in just 1:12 at 174 pounds to improve to 19-5 on the year. and make it 39-9 ONU.
MU also forfeited bouts at 157, 184 and 197 pounds.
At 165, Dolph fell in a tight 5-3 decision.
Junior Chris Mueller (Sharpsville, Pa.) moved up two weight classes to Heavyweight and dropped a 7-1 decision.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday when they travel to John Carroll to face Wilmington, John Carroll and No. 7-ranked Mount Union in an OAC quad meet.
