Lycoming (Pa.) National Duals Preview: The Ohio Northern wrestling program takes an eastward trek to open the 2019 calendar year as they hit the road for the 31st annual Lycoming (Pa.) Budd Whitehill National Duals this Friday and Saturday, January 11 and 12 ... Action is set to get underway at 9 a.m. inside Lamade Gymnasium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania ... Sixteen total NCAA Division III institutions will be represented in the two-day team tournament ... Competition will open Friday morning with round-robin duals in four pools where each participating team will face off against the three remaining teams in the pool ... On Saturday, the four pool winners will compete for places 1-4; the second-place teams in each pool will compete for places 5-8; the third-place teams will compete for places 9-12; and the fourth-place teams will compete for places 13-16 via a tournament bracket ... Each team will participate in five dual matches throughout the two-day event ... Four programs enter the tournament ranked nationally in the most recent NWCA poll ... ONU will compete in Group C and battle #20 Washington & Lee (Va.) at 10:30 a.m., Wilkes (Pa.) at 1:30 p.m., and Springfield (Mass.) at 4:30 p.m. in dual matches on Friday to begin their championship pursuit ... Ohio Northern enters the dual tournament sporting a 4-2 overall record after a perfect 3-0 outing at the annual Washington & Lee (Va.) duals on December 17 in their most recent action ... Junior grappler Jeff Andrews currently leads the team with 17 wins and six tech falls this season ... Meanwhile, he is also tied with classmate Seth Transue atop the major decisions list with four ... Transue is second in wins with 16 while senior Clayton Davidson stands third with 14 ... Davidson enters the tournament just one win removed from becoming the program's thirteenth wrestler to eclipse the 100 career victories plateau.

Head Coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler is in his 31st season at the helm of the Ohio Northern wrestling program and currently stands as the longest-tenured head wrestling coach at the institution ... He sports a 322-226-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .587, making him the all-time winningest coach in ONU program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
