Transue, Thompson lead Wrestling at Findlay Open

FINDLAY — Junior Seth Transue (Plain City/Dublin Jerome) and sophomore Cash Thompson (Lake Odessa, Mich./Lakewood) each posted 3-2 records to lead the Ohio Northern wrestling team at the Findlay Open on Saturday.
The Polar Bears were one of only two NCAA Division III schools in the 21-team tournament, which consisted primarily of NCAA Division II schools.
The tournament was not scored.
Transue went 3-2 at 125 pounds and Thompson was 3-2 at 184 pounds. Both men finished just one match shy of placing in the top six of their respective weight classes.
Junior Jeff Andrews (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) was 2-2 at 149 pounds for ONU.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Nov. 27 with an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet at Heidelberg.
