This Weekend's Championships: The Polar Bears will travel to Cleveland this weekend to compete in the NCAA Div. III Championships ... Senior Gavin Nelson will represent Ohio Northern in the 157 pound weight class, while sophomore Nate Barcaskey will wrestle for Northern in the 285 pound weight class ... The top eight wrestlers in each weight class earn All-America honors ... The championships are a double-elimination style tournament ... Barcaskey will take on No. 1-seeded Lance Evans of Wartburg (Iowa) in the opening round of the heavy weight bracket ... Nelson will open in the 157 pound weight class against No.-3 seeded Zach Wilhem of Stevens (N.J.) ... Nelson and Barcaskey qualified for the championships at the Midwest Regional Tournament at Wabash (Ind.) ... Top-seeded Barcaskey finished runner-up at Heavyweight with a 3-1 record and sixth-seeded Nelson won his third place match at 165 and finished with a 4-1 record to advance to the NCAA III Championships ... Barcaskey owns a 28-8 record this season, including eight falls, four major decision and two tech falls ... Nelson is 25-8 at the 157 pound weight class this season, posting six falls, two major decision and two tech falls for Northern.

He is the all-time winningest coach in ONU history and has the longest tenure as head wrestling coach at ONU ...
