Junior Clayton Davidson dubbed OAC Wrestler of the Week

ADA — Junior Clayton Davidson (Kirtland) has been dubbed the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 2.

Davidson led the Polar Bears at the Washington & Lee (Va.) duals as he posted a perfect 4-0 record, including defeating two nationally ranked opponents.

Davidson earned the honor for the first time in his career.

The junior won by a 4-0 decision in the 174 pound weight class over No. 6-ranked A.J. Aeberli of Coast Guard and also defeated No. 10-ranked Matt Marcotte of North Central 8-3 during the duals.

The Polar Bears return to the mat on Thursday morning as they travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. to compete in the 2-day NWCA National Duals.
