Tuesday's Dual: The Polar Bears will face another stern test in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a dual meet at #22 Mount Union on Tuesday ... The dual meet is the second of six in the round-robin OAC schedule ... The Polar Bears are coming off a solid second place finish at the 37th Annual ONU Invitational ... Sophomore Nate Barcaskey won the individual title at heavyweight to lead Ohio Northern ... The Polar Bears had a strong outing, finishing the tournament with 11 wrestlers placers in eight of the 10 weight classes ... The tournament featured 11 teams from NCAA II, III, and NAIA schools. The Polar Bears finished as tournament runner-up with 140 points, Tiffin was the tournament Champion with 151 points, and the third-place team was Campbellsville (Ky.) with 136.5 points ... Barcaskey finished with a 5-0 record with three pins to win the Heavyweight title and improve to 12-2 on the season ... Sophomore Seth Transue placed second in the 125-pound weight class with a record of 2-1 and junior Gavin Nelson placed second in the 157-pound weight class with a record of 3-1 ... Placing third for the Polar Bears was senior Alex Bair with a 6-1 record at 197 pounds ... Junior Clayton Davidson finished fourth in the 184-pound weight class with a 3-2 record ... Thus far this season, Barcaskey leads the Polar Bears with a 12-2 record and is second with 3 pins ... Transue is second with a 9-3 record and 3 pins and Davidson is third with an 8-7 record and a team-best 4 pins ... Freshman Schuyler Caprella is also tied for third with an 8-6 record and a team-best 4 tech falls.
