The Polar Bears were led by juniors Evan Morgan (149 pounds) and Brad Taton (133 pounds), who placed 6th and 8th in their weight classes, respectively ... Thus far this season, sophomore Clayton Davidson leads the team with a 23-11 record Senior Kyler Deeter (21-9) and freshman Nate Barcaskey (21-7) are second with with 21 wins each and junior Alex Bair is fourth with a 20-11 mark ... Barcaskey leads the team and is ranked nationally with 15 pins at heavyweight, while Deeter is second on the squad with 10 pins at 174 pounds ... ONU head coach Ron Beaschler recently surpassed the 300-win plateau as head coach at Ohio Northern ... In 27 seasons, Beaschler's teams are 307-213-4 ... The Cardinals are in their first season as a varsity sport after resurrecting the program that first competed from 1961-74 ... ONU head coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler in his 27th season at ONU with a 307-213-4 record, a winning percentage of .590 ... He is the all-time winningest coach in ONU history and has the longest tenure as head wrestling coach at ONU ... He was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 ... He was named OAC Coach of the Year in 1993, 2012 and 2013.
