Wrestling wraps up regular season with 37-12 victory at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD — Ohio Northern wrapped up its regular season with a 37-12 victory at Muskingum on Tuesday night at the Recreation Center.
The Polar Bears end their regular season at 11-10 overall and 1-4 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies end their regular season at 1-9, 0-5.
Northern clinched its 12th consecutive non-losing season with the victory.
Sophomore Max Dole and freshman Gavin Nelson each registered pins to lead Ohio Northern.
Nelson picked up a first period pin at 157 pounds to give ONU a 15-9 lead and Dole won by fall in 4:18 at 184 pounds.
Sophomore Dylan Dolph got the Polar Bears on the board with a sudden victory decision at 141 pounds. Tied 1-1 after regulation, Dolph got a takedown in the first overtime period to record the win.
Junior Kyler Deeter made it 19-9 Polar Bears with a 15-3 major decision at 165 pounds.
Freshman Austin Palmer, sophomore Alex Bair and sophomore Evan Hickey all won by forfeit for ONU.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regionals at Wabash (Ind.)
