The Ohio Northern Wrestling team finishes 3-0 at the Washington & Lee Duals

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Ohio Northern wrestling team posted a 3-0 overall record on Monday afternoon at the Washington & Lee Duals at the Warner Center.
The Polar Bears defeated Washington & Lee (Va.) 31-16, followed by victories over Greensboro (N.C.) 50-0 and Southern Virgina 55-0 to move to 5-0 overall on the season.
Northern saw seven individuals post a perfect 3-0 record on the day. Sophomore Brad Taton went 3-0 at 125 pounds, sophomore Dylan Dolph posted three wins at 141 pounds, freshman Gavin Nelson went 3-0 at 149 pounds, freshman Clayton Davidson went 3-0 at 157 pounds, junior Kyler Deeter claimed three wins at 165 pounds, sophomore Evan Hickey went 3-0 at 197 pounds and senior Kody Bellamy posted three wins at 285 pounds.
Taton improves to 8-3 on the season claiming two victories by decision. He defeated Ethan Hartman of Washington and Lee by a 9-1 decision, followed by a 6-2 decision over Greensboro, Gabriel Wilson.
Dolph moves to 6-5 overall after claiming an 8-1 victory over Washington & Lee's Michael Dik and a 6-4 decision over Greensboro's Jonathan Bennett.
Nelson defeated Alex Pollera of Washington & Lee by a 4-2 decision, followed by Ricardo Cunha of Greensboro by fall to move to 11-4 on the season.
Davidson opened the day by defeating Washington & Lee's Zachary Papin by fall, improving to 10-4 overall.
Deeter claimed wins over Greensboro's Andrew Chappell by a 19-4 decision and Southern Virginia's Travis Trahan by fall, moving to 11-5 on the year.
Hickey defeated Southern Virginia's Caleb West by fall to move to 8-4 overall, claiming two more vicotires by forfeit.
Bellamy improved to 12-3 on the season after claiming victories over Matt Kaminer of Washington & Lee by a 4-1 decision and a victory over Mykel Williams of Greensboro by a 16-1 decision.
Northern returns to action Jan. 2 as they take part in the University of Chicago (Ill.) duals.
