Colt Lovejoy gets big win as Wrestling drops 18-12 decision to #13 Baldwin Wallace

ADA -- Ohio Northern got victories at 133, 157, 165 and 285 pounds but it was not enough as No. 13-ranked Baldwin Wallace edged the ONU wrestling team 18-12 on Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears fall to 14-5 overall and 2-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 16-6, 3-1.

Junior Colt Lovejoy posted his fourth consecutive victory over a nationally ranked opponent by defeating No. 10-ranked David Shapiro 6-4 at 165 pounds.

Lovejoy''s decision tied the match at 9-all and moved his record to 29-4 on the year.

Freshman Allen Seagraves got the Polar Bears on the board with a 6-5 victory at 133 pounds. He used a first period reversal, a second period takedown, a third period escape and the riding time point to register the decision.

His win tied the match at 3-3 and moved his record to 17-7 on the season.

Sophomore Gennar Feucht built got a takedown and a 2-point near fall in the first period and went on to a 5-2 victory at 157 pounds to pull ONU within 9-6.

He improves to 21-6 on the season. 

Senior All-American and No. 1-ranked Cody Lovejoy remained undefeated at 37-0 on the season with a 3-0 victory at heavyweight.

The Polar Bears will wrap up their regular season next Tuesday on Senior Night against Muskingum at the ONU Sports Center.
