Wrestling remains undefeated with 45-0 sweep of Manchester (Ind.)

ADA -- Ohio Northern swept all 10 weight classes and remained undefeated on the season with a 45-0 victory over Manchester (Ind.) in a non-conference wrestling dual meet on Thursday at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 5-0, while the Spartans fall to 0-1.
Northern won all seven bouts and got three forfeits to win the match. Add in two exhibition victories and ONU was a perfect 12-0 on the evening.
Freshman Brad Taton got ONU off to a good start with a 4-1 victory at 125 pounds. He used a first period takedown and two full minutes of riding time in the second period to earn the win and improve to 8-5 on the season.
Senior Cole Cochran also had a first period takedown and had riding time the entire second period to post a 4-0 win at 133 pounds and put the Polar Bears up 6-0. Cochran's win gives him a 10-5 record this year.
Freshman Dylan Dolph won by fall in 2:05 at 141 pounds to improve to 7-5 with two pins on the year.
Freshman Evan Morgan followed that with a first period fall in 1:30 to give the hosts an 18-0 lead. Morgan is now 11-7 with three pins in 2014-15.
No. 16-ranked Colt Lovejoy rallied from a 7-4 third period deficit with a reversal and 3-point near fall to post an 11-9 victory at 165 pounds. Lovejoy is now 14-3 on the year.
After a pair of forfeits at 174 and 184 pounds, sophomore Dillon Brancheau had four takedowns and a reversal to post an 11-5 decision at 197 pounds to put ONU ahead 42-0 and improve to 10-4 on the season.
No. 2-ranked senior Cody Lovejoy wrapped up the perfect evening with a 5-0 decision at 285 pounds. Lovejoy improves to 15-0 on the season.
The Polar Bears will return to action Jan. 3 at the Waynesburg (Pa.) Invitational.
