Cody Lovejoy, Tyler Gargano named First Team All-OAC; Lovejoy named OAC Wrestler of the Year

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Cody Lovejoy and sophomore Tyler Gargano were named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference for 2013-14 in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Lovejoy was also named the John Summa OAC Wrestler of the Year and won the Most Falls/Least Amount of Time award with three pins in 11:34 in OAC dual meet action.
Lovejoy, a heavyweight, posted a 5-0 record in the five OAC dual meets and is an impressive 40-3 on the season and ranks second nationally with 24 pins.
He recently won the NCAA III Mideast Regional Tournament title and earned a bid to participate in the NCAA III Championships March 14-15 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Lovejoy is now a two-time First Team All-OAC honoree and was a Second Team All-OAC honoree as a freshman with a runner-up finish at the 2012 OAC Tournament.
Gargano is making his first appearance on the All-OAC squad.
He was 30-6 on the season at 174 pounds and went a perfect 5-0 in OAC duals.
Gargano placed fourth at the NCAA III Regionals, narrowly missing a spot at the NCAA III Championships.
The Polar Bears finished the season with a 9-9 dual meet record under 26th-year head coach Ron Beaschler.
