Lovejoy, Deeter and Gargano all post victories as Wrestling hosts #27 Heidelberg

ADA -- Junior Cody Lovejoy won by major decision to lead the Ohio Northern wrestling team in a 28-10 loss to No. 27-ranked Heidelberg Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 9-8 overall and 1-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference action, while the Student Princes improve to 13-10, 5-0.
Lovejoy, who is ranked No. 8 nationally at heavyweight, got a reversal with two seconds left to post the major decision and improve to 36-3 on the season.
Freshman Kyler Deeter got the Polar Bears on the board with a tight 4-3 victory at 157 pounds. Deeter controlled riding time for the entire two minutes of the third period with the bout tied at 3-3, earning the riding time point and the win.
Deeter pulls even with a 12-12 record this season.
Sophomore Tyler Gargano got a second period takedown to post a 3-2 decision at 174 pounds and improve to 25-4 on the season and 4-0 in OAC dual meet competition.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their regular season on Thursday against John Carroll at 7:30 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
