Pawlitz, Lovejoy register pins to lead Wrestling in OAC dual at Baldwin Wallace

BEREA -- Senior Michael Pawlitz and junior Cody Lovejoy each registered pins to lead the Ohio Northern wrestling team in a 26-15 loss at Baldwin Wallace Tuesday night at the Ursprung Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears fall to 9-7 overall and 1-2 in Ohio Athletic Conference action, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 7-2, 2-1.
Pawlitz pinned Tyler Keating in just 55 seconds at 197 pounds and Lovejoy followed with a pin in 5:42 over Joe Belford at heavyweight.
Pawlitz improves to 16-6 and now has 11 pins on the season.
Lovejoy, who is ranked No. 7 nationally, moves to a team-best 35-3 on the year and ranks among the nation's best with an impressive 22 pins.
Sophomore Tyler Gargano improves to 24-4 on the season with a 7-1 decision at 174 pounds.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Tuesday with a home match against No. 22-ranked Heidelberg at 7:30 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
