Cody Lovejoy leads Wrestling at Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational

WHEATON (Ill.) -- Junior Cody Lovejoy finished third at 285-pounds to lead the Ohio Northern wrestling team to a 13th place finish at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational hosted by Wheaton (Ill.) College.
The Polar Bears finished tied for 13th with 53 points in the 32 team field.
Wisconsin-Whitewater won the tournament with 155.5 points, Wisconsin-La Crosse was second with 120.5 points and Messiah (Pa.) was third with 100.5 points.
Cody Lovejoy recorded three pins and a 6-1 record on his way to third place.
He now has a team leading 18 pins on the season.
Sophomore Tyler Gargano scored two major decisions on his way to a sixth place finish at 174-pounds.
Junior Kyle Brezovec and sophomore Colt Lovejoy each finished eighth at 149-pounds and 165-pounds, respectively.
Ohio Northern will return to OAC play on Tuesday, when it travels to take on Mount Union at 7:30 pm.
