Kelli Hill ties school record with 22 saves in goal, leads Women's Lacrosse in 13-7 loss to Baldwin Wallace

ADA — Junior Kelli Hill (Worthington) tied a school record with 22 saves in goal, leading the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in a 13-7 loss to Baldwin Wallace on a blustery evening at Dial-Roberson.
The Polar Bears fall to 6-6 overall and are 2-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 6-5, 3-1.
Hill was outstanding in goal all night, stopping 22 of BW's 35 shots on goal, a save percentage of .629. In all, BW had 47 shots with only 13 finding the net.
Junior Maddie Storr (Clarence, N.Y.) also surpassed a record-breaking milestone, becoming the first women's lacrosse player in ONU history to reach the 100-point plateau. She had a goal and an assist for the Polar Bears, giving her 101 career points in just 28 games.
Baldwin Wallace appeared to be running away with the game, scoring the first seven goals before junior Jacqui Lohman (Liberty Township/Lakota East) found the net with 5:48 left in the half.
Hill had 12 saves at intermission and ONU was still in the game down 8-2 despite getting outshot 27-5.The teams traded goals in the first five minutes of the second half before BWU scored three straight goals to go up 13-4 with 6:54 left in the game.
Northern kept battling and scored three times in the final 1:58 on goals from sophomore Sabra Woodruff (Beavercreek), Lohman and sophomore North Plainfield, N.J./Dublin).
BWU outshot ONU 47-17 and won the ground ball battle 26-12.
Lohman and Skelding each scored two goals to lead Ohio Northern.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at 4:30 pm with a home game with Marietta at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
