ADA — Sophomore Maddie Storr (Clarence, N.Y.) recorded her sixth consecutive hat trick, but the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team dropped a 15-5 decision to Wooster on a chilly Friday evening at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 1-1, while the Scots improve to 2-0.
Storr had three goals and added an assist for a team-high four points.
Freshmen Elizabeth Carter (Lebanon) and Rachel Shipman (Noblesville, Ind.) also scored for ONU.
Wooster took control early, scoring the game's first seven goals.
But Northern came back to within 9-3 by intermission with three goals in the last 8:06.
Storr scored just 3:13 into the second half to pull ONU within 9-4, but Wooster would scored the game's next six goals to put it away.
Storr completed her hat trick, keeping alive a streak she began last season, with her third goal in the final minute.
Wooster out-shot Ohio Northern 34-16.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday in the Spring Fling Tournament against Kean (N.J.) in Port Charlotte, Fla.
