ADA — Freshmen Maggie Fuller and Maddie Storr combined for eight goals and an assist to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in a 21-10 loss to Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 6-8 overall and 1-4 in Ohio Athletic Conference play in their inaugural season, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 10-5, 3-2.
Fuller scored five goals, four of which came in the second half, and an assist to lead ONU.
Storr had all three of her goals in the first half.
BW scored the first four goals of the game and led 11-5 at intermission.
Fuller scored twice in the first 2:42 of the second half to counter a pair of Yellow Jacket goals, but Baldwin Wallace scored three goals in a 3:07 span to take control of the game at 16-7 with 18:45 left to play.
Caitlin Wheeler had seven goals and two assists to lead BW.
ONU won 18 of the 33 draw controls nd committed only 21 fouls to 51 for Baldwin Wallace.
But the Yellow Jackets out-shot Ohio Northern 45-20 and forced 38 turnovers to just 22 for themselves.
The Polar Bears will wrap up the home portion of their schedule on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm against Wilmington at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
